For the last week, Paris has thrummed, as editors, models, designers, and assorted A-listers zigzag across the city’s arrondissements to view collections and exchange double air-kisses before rushing off to the next runway at Paris Fashion Week. On Wednesday night, however, the frenzy took a stately turn at La Réserve, an exclusive five-star hotel steps from the Élysée Palace, President Emmanuel Macron’s residence in the leafy eighth arrondissement.

Behind a lacquered red door, Vogue editor-in-chief and Condé Nast artistic director Anna Wintour hosted a cocktail party in honor of Vanity Fair editor Radhika Jones, as the fashion industry’s power players—including Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, Valentino Garavani, John Galliano, and Victoria Beckham—gathered to mingle with Jones and Wintour in one of Paris’s chicest 19th-century parlors.

Jones, wearing Dior, chatted with Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller and avant-garde phenom Iris van Herpen, while across the room, Karlie Kloss and Chiuri posed for a photo. The megawatt crowd also included Erdem Moralioglu, Simon Porte Jacquemus, and Jil Sander creative-director duo Lucie and Luke Meier. Thom Browne arrived with his partner and chief curator of the Met’s Costume Institute Andrew Bolton, who greeted Jones and Wintour before mingling with the likes of Simone Rocha and Christopher Kane. Also present were fashion-world heavyweights such as LVMH Fashion Group C.E.O. Sidney Toledano, who posed for a photo with Condé Nast C.E.O. Bob Sauerberg.
