Bettors can expect Warriors to hit cruise control at some point

The Warriors are good enough to win 65-70 games or more if they really wanted to. But they would have to be hungry night in and night out, avoid injuries (unlike last year), get DeMarcus Cousins back and close to 100 percent by the beginning of the year, and hope their bench can help carry them through long road trips and step up when a star player has a night off.

Here are the games played by their four superstars in the regular season last year: Klay Thompson (73), Draymond Green (70), Kevin Durant (68), Steph Curry (51).

This team learned a lesson after losing in the Finals to the Cavaliers during their 73-win regular season. They learned how much it can take out of you once the playoffs start. They won 58 games a year ago, conceded home court to the Rockets, and still won a Game 7 on the road to advance to yet another Finals appearance. They can cruise through 82 games, miss out on the

No. 1 overall seed, and still win another title.

Thompson, Durant, and Cousins can also become free agents at the end of the season. I can’t blame any of the players if they lack the desire to grind through every game for six months starting next week.

The play: Warriors Under 63 wins.
