Cardi B trolls Nicki Minaj fans after new song ‘Money’ leaks

Cardi B knows there’s a thin line between love and hate.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper, 26, turned to her Instagram story to speak out about her new song, “Money,” leaking two days early. At first, Cardi was upset about the leak but ultimately decided to embrace it and aggressively promote the track while calling out Nicki Minaj’s fans, who are known as “Barbz.”

“We tried to retract it, but you know the Barbz. They always posting me, they always post everything I do,” Cardi said. “They claim they hate me, but they really love me because they be on my page before my fans.”

“Everything that I do, they be on it before my fans,” the “I Like It” rapper continued. “So clearly, that seems like love to me, seems like you love me, so it’s like, ‘F–k it.’ I can’t retract it, I might as well put it out.”

Minaj and Cardi’s feud has been playing out publicly over the last few months, with it coming to a head at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONs party where Cardi threw a shoe at the “Anaconda” rapper. Cardi later said that it was Minaj’s alleged comments about her daughter, Kulture, that set her off.

“I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f–kin off!!” Cardi wrote on Instagram.

Minaj later addressed the event on Beat’s 1 Queen Radio, calling the experience “mortifying and humiliating.”

“I would never ridicule anyone’s child,” Minaj said of Cardi’s comments. “[It’s] so sad for someone to pin that on somebody. … I would never talk about anyone’s child or parenting. … These lies are ridiculous.”
