Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp hails Jorginho as a ‘revelation’ at Chelsea and believes he is ‘the man’ at Stamford Bridge

Jamie Redknapp heralded Jorginho as a ‘revelation’ at Chelsea following his summer move from Napoli.

After initially being linked with a move to Manchester City, Maurizio Sarri pounced to bring the midfielder with him to Stamford Bridge from Serie A.

Jorginho is a pass master and loving life at Chelsea thus far

Having already broken Premier League records thanks to his excellent ball retention skills, the Italy international has quickly become the focal point for Chelsea.

And even with Eden Hazard on scintillating form, Redknapp believes Jorginho is ‘the man’ at the Bridge.

“I think Jorginho has been a revelation,” he told talkSPORT on Drivetime.

“I’ve watched him closely obviously playing in those midfield positions. I love the way he just controls the game.

“Obviously he was his first signing; he identified him as the man that can make that difference because normally that is Kante’s role.

“Kante has been shifted slightly to the right hand side, but Jorginho is the man – he is the maestro in the team.”
