Brock Holt will forever say no thanks to Taco Bell.
Following Red Sox’s 8-4 Game 1 victory over the Dodgers on Tuesday night, Holt responded to the fast-food chain’s free Doritos Locos Tacos promise on Nov. 1., honoring the first base stolen — accomplished by Mookie Betts — during the World Series.
“I haven’t eaten Taco Bell in probably 10 years. So yeah, I’ll probably stay away from the free taco. I’ll let everyone else get it,” Holt said Tuesday, according to Boston.com.
“I’m going to stay away from Taco Bell. You’ll end up on the toilet all night.”
Before Game 2 on Wednesday, a firm Holt said he would not be changing his mind.
“I don’t think I’ll be trying Taco Bell,” he shared. “I’m sorry, Taco Bell. That’s just my opinion. I’m sure a lot of people love it.”
He had not yet heard from the fast-food chain, and Holt later pledged his allegiance to Chipotle.
“I would have to take my son,” the utility infielder said. “He loves Chipotle. He crushes it. He’s 2 years old and eats a whole Chipotle bowl by himself. I’d give him my free Chipotle. But Taco Bell, I’m going to pretty much stay away from Taco Bell.”
Holt has yet to register an at-bat in the World Series, which the Red Sox lead two games to none after Wednesday’s 4-2 win.
