A 13-year-old girl behind the wheel of a stolen van filled with five of her pals led Iowa cops on a chase reaching speeds of up to 100 mph, according to a report.
Police were alerted early Sunday when a neighbor in the Iowa city of Blue Grass “saw a suspicious van on his street that it appeared the occupants were trying to break into cars,” according to NBC-affiliate KWQC-TV.
A cop tried to pull the vehicle over, but the teen driver gunned it, sparking the wild chase.
Police were eventually able to stop the van, which was reported stolen out of Rock Island, Illinois, according to KWQC-TV.
All six people inside the car, including the 13-year-old driver, were taken into custody.
The only adult in the vehicle, 18-year-old Dramya Holt, was booked in the Scott County Jail and is facing charges of theft and attempted burglary, according to the news outlet.
The other teens ranged in age from 13 to 15. Two of them were hospitalized with minor injuries.
According to the news site, three law enforcement vehicles were slightly damage during the chase.
