Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren believes a fight with Anthony Joshua will be “easy to make” so long as the current heavyweight champion accepts a 50/50 purse split.
Following Fury’s controversial draw with Deontay Wilder on December 1 – which many felt he won – the 30-year-old is now ranked as one of the world’s top heavyweights once again, alongside Joshua.

AJ currently holds three of the four world titles and is next scheduled to fight on 13 April. An opponent is yet to be announced and Warren believes both Joshua and Fury are on an even keel in terms of profile and so deserve an equal share of the purse.
The promoter told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT: “The only way that fight happens is if it’s a 50/50 split, it’s as simple as that.
“Tyson Fury brings a lot to the table, he’s known in the States.
“More people watched him in the States than watched Anthony Joshua.
“Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, easy to make. 50/50 fight. Easy.”
Anthony Joshua’s last fight saw him beat Russian Alexander Povetkin in September
However, one barrier that does stand in the way of Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is the non-relationship between their rival promoters.
Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn are constantly at loggerheads as they compete for control of the UK boxing market, with Warren now insisting Hearn is focused on making a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte for April.
“What he’s trying to do is keep confusing the public with all this stuff,” the 66-year-old continued, “Knowing what he’s gonna serve them up.
“He’s gonna try and serve them up Dillian Whyte against Anthony Joshua.”
