Wizards’ John Wall to have season-ending surgery

John Wall’s season is over.

The Wizards star is planning to have surgery to repair bone spurs in his left heal that will end his season, according to ESPN. Details of the procedure, which will keep him out six-to-eight months, will be finalized in the days to come.

The Washington Post first reported the need for the surgery.

After Wall met with specialist Dr. Robert Anderson on Saturday, it was determined he needed surgery to fix the issue that has been a problem for more than a year, according to the report. Wall had played through it until he missed Friday night’s game against the Bulls to get his heel checked out. He was averaging 20.7 points, 8.7 assists per game this season.
